On third Thursdays from April through October, Canton Street fills shoulder to shoulder for Alive in Roswell, and the whole town seems to drift downtown at once. Two blocks over at Southern Post, Pure Green is ready for it, a juice bar in downtown Roswell handcrafting superfood smoothies, acai bowls, and cold pressed juice. Our corner is one of the newest downtown, all brick, gas lanterns, and tall warehouse windows tipping a hat to the mill town this used to be. The thinking behind our counter is old-fashioned too: feed your neighbors well and they keep coming back.
Roswell wears its history lightly. Bulloch Hall and Barrington Hall still run tours, and down at Old Mill Park a covered footbridge crosses Vickery Creek to the ruins of the old mill, where a thirty-foot dam turns the water into a wide white curtain. Canton Street handles the present with patios, galleries, and enough restaurants to argue happily about. On Saturday mornings from April into November, the farmers market sets up on the City Hall lawn on Hill Street from eight to noon, and half the fun is counting how many people you know.
Cold pressed juice makes good company on the walk down to that market. Old Mill Park is closer than people expect, ten minutes on foot, and an acai bowl afterward is fair payment for taking the stairs by the dam. Finish a class at one of the studios here at Southern Post and a smoothie is waiting about thirty steps away. Even a plain Tuesday errand run up Alpharetta Highway goes down easier with something cold in the cup holder.

Look for the gas lanterns on Alpharetta Highway, two blocks off Canton, and you have found our juice bar in downtown Roswell, tucked into Southern Post between the coffee and the cantina. We build smoothies, acai bowls, and cold pressed juice in Roswell, GA the slow-food way at fast-food speed, every order starting as real fruit, greens, and superfoods and landing in your hand a few minutes later. Nothing sits ready-made in a case. Between the produce and you there is a blender, a press, and somebody who cares how it turns out.
Regulars tell us it starts like a crush. You stop in once out of curiosity, then you notice you have been routing your walk home past our door, and one morning the team starts your order the moment you cross the plaza. We fall for this town right back, one name and one usual at a time. Small romance, and it runs beautifully on mango and spinach.
Pure Green exists to help towns get healthier, and in Roswell that reads less like a slogan than a description. This place already hikes its creek trails, fills baskets on the City Hall lawn, and spends festival nights outdoors on Canton Street. Our part is the easy one, something cold and honest that fits in one hand and keeps the rest of it going. When the best choice on the block is also the one you want, nobody has to be talked into anything.
